Album Launch Outstore Event

It all begins with an idea. This idea was to bring headline Artists to regional venues to support independent record stores.

How it all came to pass is in the past, but happen it did.

The Brook in Southampton has, over the years, established itself to be one of the most iconic venues in the City. They have had some true superstars grace the stage, and now can add Jack Savoretti to that list.

The evening was set up as two short events, and with a venue Capacity of 450, this allowed twice the numbers they would normally allow. Both shows were as busy as you would expect.

The intimacy of the show was a joy to behold. It was clear from the outset that Jack was completely behind the small venue project, his smile said it all. To be up close and personal with a relatively small audience was clearly something he relished, and probably missed.

With only two other musicians playing with him, the room was in awe of his talents. It’s always a pleasure to witness something special at a live music show, and this certainly was special.

Jacks performance was impeccable, albeit fairly short. Only a 50 minute set, but the crowd knew this, so they simply relished every moment. The musicianship from Jack and his backing musicians was tight and professional. The personality that Jack showed on stage was a joy to watch. Newer songs and older crowd pleasers were on the set list and both were delivered with skill and passion.

Speaking with Jack after the show, it was clear that he had so enjoyed the set and was already looking forward to the second show of the evening.

In conclusion, when these smaller venue shows happen, we, as music lovers need to take advantage of the opportunity they afford. Let’s hope they happen more often.
